How WBC fails: God H8's 19/19

The Westboro Baptist Church (or WBC) is an Independent Baptist “church” known for its extreme stance against homosexuality, other religions, and anything else that tickles their fancy. They are also known for their greatly offensive protest activities against fallen service men/woman and high profile aka popular people. In this special section, we will explore their hateful and distorted “divine” teachings and expose them for what they truly are, a hate group who uses religion for personal power.

Part: 19/19
Name: Accept Jesus as your personal savior- Pt 19 WBC's GOD H8S vid

Update: Videos have been removed. Blog now shows video of all of them combined.
Bible Verse use:
John 6:44: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day."

And so here we are...

With the final movie of the god h8's series now under review,  this blogger finds himself recalling the past and how much it has effected him. All I need now is some prune juice, a rocking chair and some kids to tell "back in my day"... When I look back at all the traveling I have done, all the people I have met because of joining the anti-wbc movement, I see how this endeavor has allowed me to see so much more than the sheltered child of my youth could. I have always said how there is a HUGE difference between saying and actually being part of a religion, but to see it first hand. It's can be a beautiful and wonderful thing at times or like in the case of our cult, perverted to be a horrid disgusting thing. I have seen how belief and faith are what truly makes a person, not just saying the religion they follow. I have seen that while life does get better, victory can not be claimed just yet. Hate, discrimination, deceit and just not giving a damn still have a iron hold. So much so that no single event will ever change it. Remember back a little under four years ago, when the presidential elections where taking place? For the first time in... well ever, a black man was running for the highest office in the land. Not only was he running, but with a amazing use of his well devolved public speaking skills he actually won! For many, this seemingly impossible election heralded the end of racial hate. It was thought that with the election of this single man the long history of inequality would finally close. >_> The whole race card thing would become a thing of the past, and things like "you're black" and "you're white" would be replaced with "you're human" Yea right, this is humanity we are talking about! Despite all the feel good mojo we had floating around, the worse still pollutes it. Violence and misdeeds committed against people because of bullshit excuse of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation remains a serious problem in America.

As Americans, no screw that, as PEOPLE we all must have a stake in reducing hate. These crimes, misdeeds and general bullshit are used for attention, power and ego. They are intended to intimidate not only the individual victim, but the whole community too... does this sound familiar to anyone else?  Yea, this shit is nothing more than adult bullying... and this just what the Westboro Baptist Church is. In today's final video of the God H8's series, we are told in no uncertain terms that we can not accept Jesus as a savior, and we are all just lazy homo's who like to sin.

What she said: "There are a couple of problem with the call of letting Jesus in your heart and accept him as your personal savior"
In previous "educational" video produced by the family, cheap tricks where often used (in vain) in order to bait the audience into accepting as truth, their version of the bible. "Gays are evil you idiot! God said it because we said it!" "Shrimp is the same as being gay! No you idiot its not, but let me continue proving the gays are evil and related to eating shrimp! You're all dummies for not following our religion!" As with any video made today, insults, name calling, questioning audience intelligence and bait and switches, do nothing to forward the cause of the group. Congratulations, you regressed your group back to the times when kids did this in the school yard. I'm sure they are sooooo proud. While you are busy acting like K8 students and being ever so proud of it, the message you where trying to present is be ignored as a whole. But wait, we have a slight twist today! While the greedy egotistical attitude is still present, today's video play's the name game.

What she said: "Number one, no man can accept Christ, for the lord Jesus Christ said John 6:44"
What she also said: "To accept Christ makes man more powerful than God, you strip him of his sovereignty. If you can accept or deny Christ what do you need a savior for?"

It is somewhat fitting and ironic that I have NCIS on while reviewing this video. Currently I'm watching the episode called “Suspicion”.  When a marine guy is found murdered in a small town motel room, the NCIS team must find the person who murdered her, even though the local town authorities had already "investigated" the crime three days earlier. They also really messed it up too. Gibbs needs to determine if the crime is related to a terrorist cell. When the team firsts arrives at the small town”and a few things are explained, one of the officers says "I think we have a break down in communication".  This is what we have here today, and if you will follow, I will explain just how.

When one ponders the faith of the Christians, there is one fundamental and vital question that is always asked; what must I do to be saved? Do I pray a lot? Do I have to sell everything and live on the street? Do I knock on people’s doors and throw a bible at them? Should I follow the bible and emulate what Christ did? Should I ignore all that and protest for attention? When one seeks to answer this sometimes perplexing question, they are often told to "accept the lord Christ into your heart, and accept him as your personal savoir" Be it from conversations, conventions, television shows, radio/pod broadcasts or the web, will find this phrase everywhere through the Christian world. Many energetic preachers and evangelist use the phrase "accept Jesus into your heart" despite the fact word for word like that never appearing in the bible. What the WBC says here, that accepting can not only be done, but it foolish to try such a thing.  Although the expression is common enough, that doesn’t always make it right. How is one suppose to accept the lord into your heart? How does it even work? Are we supposed to shove a buddy Jesus into our hearts? Are we supposed to participate in some psychobabble experience? Is it symbolic gesture? Well if it is, what the frack is it supposed to mean and what is it supposed to do? … and why does it sound like I’m supporting the WBC here.

Well fear not, because I am not.

When human's look at the meaning of things, especially from something so long ago, we have a very bad habit of over complicating thing. We try to find hidden meanings in everything. Why else are there things like the bible code and aliens in the bible? Why we are so busy over complicating simple statements, we fail to see the words for what they are. So let’s stop of a second here and take note of a few verses  in the bible. Not the one listed in the video, because frankly it’s just silly.

    • Examine yourselves to see if your faith is really genuine. Test yourselves. If you cannot tell that Jesus Christ is among you (or in you), it means you have failed the test. 2 Corinthians 13:5.
    •  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
    • He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36
    • Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
    • I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24
I have stated to many times before how religion is a farce without faith, without true belief in it. If Christ had intended for us to say "I believe in Christ we are now saved" or even have us "elect" with autosave, then such things as the 10 commandment and the beatitudes would have never been issued. Why give the people a set of rules if they are meaningless to salvation? Why demand a certain standard of actions and morality when they are meaningless in the end?  Why? Because saying you are of this religion or follow some guy means shit. We can see such a statement emulated in 2 Corinthians 13:5. When Peter was speaking (or at least in letter form), he knew perfectly well how easy it was to claim "oh I follow Christ", but it was quite a different thing to stick with it. Remember who denied Christ three times? Yea.... So while you will not find word for word that statement  "accept the lord Jesus into your heart and allow him to become you personal savior", you will find it's spirit everywhere.
    • Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8
    • "The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" Psalms 145.18
When Christ was sent to Earth to teach of the love of the father, it was not to condemn but to save! He came to build not to destroy. He came for life, not for death. He wanted humanity, his flock, to accept his teaching of love. He wanted us to take this message of peace and love into their hearts and believe. He wanted us to all be children of God, and share in the close personal relationship he had with his apostles. Not only that, but he wanted us to live and share in God the Father.

What she said: "Calling him your personal savior is calling him your personal bell boy blah blah blah"
In my twenty nine years of life, which admittingly isn't that much, I have met a lot of people. While these people vary in both appearance and opinion, I never once heard anyone say this stupidity or even act like this was the case. Jesus being a personal bell boy? Ummm yea right. But I wonder for a moment if it was wise for our host to say this? Could not the WBC saying how Christ is their personal vengeance machine doing the same thing? Are they not turning Christ into their personal bell boy? So before I digress any more, let me ask what was Jesus' mission on Earth? Jesus came to help us with our saving throws. It's a DnD term ask you're local geek or nerd for assistance. What is most important and often missed by the cult, is that Jesus’ mission to Earth directly affects our lives now and forever. He came not to destroy humanity or to protest dead people, he came to restore humanities close and personal relationship to God the Father. When one takes the time to read the whole of the bible (another thing the WBC doesn't do) one can see that everything about the big guys mission is about SAVING. I mean bloody hell, his name even means “Jehovah saves”. How could a person's name who describes his mission so well actually want what the WBC claims?

Matthew 1:21-23 tells us "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins. So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

Jesus' life and sacrifice made it possible for us to live in God and for God to live in us not so the WBC could inlist fear and hate in the world. Life not death, love not hate, hope for the future, not eternal damnation. This is Jesus, and is not the WBC.

    ...wow finally done!

I would like to take a moment before we part, and end this chapter with thanking all of my readers for being with me this far. The comments and emails I have received (here, on twitter, and tumblr) have been very... well just frigging awesome. It really confirms the feeling that what I, and many others are doing, are doing the right thing.  Thank you all, and may what ever Divine you believe in, be with you always.

    Blessed Be,

I regret to inform you that you are mistaken when concerned with my Gods. As I would hope you would have read later on (but apparently did not) my Gods are not whores or even whorish. Further more, my lord and lady follow what you would call a "traditional marriage". So I can only assume then that you came to such a conclusion as means of a childish insult; which I may remind you is very un-Jesus like.

Next, I am perplexed at the meaning and use of "sex wands". Since I am a straight man, I have no use for the female vibrator and googling it showed nothing else I own (or thought of) The only other thing I have that would/could be used for sexual relations is firmly attached to my body. Removing it would result in a rather painful injury to myself and the inability to ever produce babies.

Lastly, I do not have any Satan status, nor care too. His current image is a mockery of the green man, and have no need to be reminded of such. The only thing that bares his image on my person would him being featured in the game Dante's inferno where fight and defeat the devil.

Maybe you should return to the book and Christ you claim to know so well and love and rethink his teachings to you. Christ spoke of peace, love and the occasional free meal. You do not.
