The Westboro Baptist Church (or WBC) is an Independent Baptist “church” known for its extreme stance against homosexuality, other religions, and anything else that tickles their fancy. They are also known for their greatly offensive protest activities against fallen service men/woman and high profile aka popular people. In this special section, we will explore their hateful and distorted “divine” teachings and expose them for what they truly are, a hate group who uses religion for personal power.

Bible verses mentioned:
Mal. 1:2-3: “I have loved you,” says the LORD. “But you ask, ‘How have you loved us?’ “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the LORD. “Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”
Zech. 7:14: ‘I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’”
LK. 12:5: But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
Another video,
Another hate speech,
More crap spewed from brainwashed imbeciles.

Every friggin time I watch a video produced by this idiotic inbreeds, I want to scream, yell and bash their face in. I want to venture down to their cult complex throw up the finger, rip every sign they have from their dirty hands, and steal the kids away. I want to say "Why the hell should we accept a god that is a giant douche bag?" Seriously f a god that likes to troll 24/7! If we believe all the crap WBC get off on, only thier extended family of haters, whores, lairs and ego will enter heaven. If this was not bad enough, according to the cult, the rest of us where made just to fry. Yea screw that Phelps. I refuse to be some puppert who's masters only joy is that of pain of others. How dare this sky a-hole lay down a set of rules and then refuse to follow them! How dare it play with our lives like that, as if they where worthless souless crap! "But he is GOD! He can do what he wants!" the WBC will undoubtedly say arrogantly. Yea will guess what! We were all made in his image so I guess I'll just do what I want then.
Screw you,
Screw your hypocritical god,
and just give me a damn Snapple.
Did you see what I did there? The members of the Westboro cult live on hate, because they believe their god does. The strive to emulate this deranged story of the Divine that only exists within their walled community. They also treat this emotional state as a drug. The high they experience when getting the masses riled up maybe even exceed the faith they hold in their bi-polar god. Fortunately for not only my readers, but for the majority of the population at large we know that not all believers in Christ believe this nonsense. Not all seek power by subversion, not all hate on everything that moves, most just live out their lives while having a personal relationship with their God. And that's how it's suppose to be. The whole purpose of these papers is to not face down screaming and yelling with screaming and yelling, but to present the facts as they are. And you know what? I'm actually happy to do so, despite the fact I am not Christian nor do I follow the bible.
What she said: "It's a lie that God doesn't hate. The bible is full of verses about god's anger, wrath, hate and judgement."
What she also said: "god's hate is in your DNA"
What she then said: "How do you even know what right and wrong is without god's hate written on your heart" ... so and so forth.
Yo dwag, I heard you like some hate with your hate, so we put some hate in your hate so you can hate while you hate... wait... does this mean the WBC have a hate fetish? |
The Bible is a over nine thousand page book filled to the brim with stories and teachings from long ago. Within it's pages you will find references to how to make your clothing, what is acceptable to eat, the reason for Christ mingling with us, what is acceptable to do on what days, and even stories of God's love and discontentment. Like any great father, the God of the Christians does get pissy with his children from time to time. But even then it's not clear cut end of the world times. When God becomes angered, he sends various prophets to speak words of forgiveness if only the masses repented for their current sins. It is only then when all people have completely requested the all father, the he lays some holy smack down. But even in his anger there is great love! When the disaster has passed, we see the evil of the world wash away (for a time at least) and a new era begin for humanity. If God was truly angered with humanity, we he really hated us, would we really all still be here? What the WBC claims here is God is all hate, and you can not know "his love" without that hate. But I ask them, how can you only teach hate and ignore 95% of the bible?
Let's address the bible verses she used today; the first and foremost being Mal 1 2-3. Here we see stated “I have loved you,” says the LORD. “But you ask, ‘How have you loved us?’ “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the LORD. “Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”. Can this instance of God seemly accurate display of hate really be used to justify such horrid displays of disgust towards everyone not under the WBC banner? If this is true how can we have verses like John 3:16 which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son“? Either the all father is bi-polar or we have some serious contradiction going on in the bible.
These inconsistencies occur for a number of reasons, more often than not falling into two categories. The first, and most prominent is misunderstanding. This happens when you frequently change the meanings of words and such, not to mention take things totally out of context. Many of the old testament stories are just that, stories. Like Jesus would later do, these stories where meant to teach right from wrong (and the reactions of said actions) not to be taken as historical fact. The second is mistranslations. You may remember in one of my first writings, how the Hebrew word for sick and weak had been mistranslated as wicked and evil today. These same teachings and misses can be again applied to this video. So then back to Mal. 1:2-3 “Jacob have I loved, but Esau I have hated.”
Well crap that seems pretty clear cut doesn't it? Hate means hate right?
But what if it didn't?
Poor confused cats :( |
Often in scripture, and we are speaking of the original Hebrew writings here, the word we use as hate now often meant to love less then. This would be another example of how the meaning of a word changes with the passing of time.*1 If we apply this to the verse above, it would then read "Jacob have I loved most, but Esau I have loved less"*2. We can see this theme repeated in Luke 14:26. “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple”. More biblical confusion that is ignored by the WBC, how surprising. What Jesus was saying here was that anyone who loved these people more than him, could not be his disciple, or didja honestly think Jesus wanted you to hate your family? Wasn't one of his teachings to "honor your mother and father"?
To hate,
To say it,
To feel it,
To experience it,
How very human of us.
But what of a God? Can we rightly assume that a God feels in the same way we do? Does the Divine even have a emotional state? To us humans, hatred is thought of in terms of strong emotional distaste for something. We even have many different words for it! To hate, to loathe, to dislike, to think it vile, to make us sick, to find it disgusting, the list goes on and on. Perhaps what the WBC claims as sources of hate is more misunderstood judicial acts. God gave the ten commandments to his people, so that they may know the laws of the divine and follow them. Just as a mother and father love their child, when the child does wrong you better expect his bottom will get a beating (well at least I did, but then again my parents raised me right). God has made it possible for sin to be forgiven so that all can be reconciled to God, God is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”.
When we consult the bible even more, we see numerous cases, stories and verses that contain love and redemption. In place of fire and brimstone that we see in the Old Testament, we see signs of redemption, of God calling people back to him. Therefore, God does love everyone. Sure he may get pissy with us when we do entirely screw up (and completely human) mistakes, but the love is still there. If this was not the case, we would not have criteria for redemption, Christ would not have been nailed to wood, and the whole message of peace and love would NEVER been transcribed in a two thousand year old book.
The man died for our bloody sins, how the frack can you see that as hate?!?!
The man died for our bloody sins, how the frack can you see that as hate?!?!
What she said: "What is the point of the law if you don't follow it"
http://www.godhatesfags.com/faq.html#Mosaic
Taking from their own website, where is clearly states they do not follow all the rules of the Mosaic code. So what is the point of the law if you only pick and choose then Margie?
Sigh
...Or did he send his only son, who willingly gave his life to save the world from sin?
*1 We can take the meaning of fag as another example of this. Fag is an old British term for a cig.
*2 While researching this paper I found another line of thought that I wish to share with you. When God is speaking about Jacob and Esau, he speaks not of the person but of the people birthed by them (like the people of Moses etc). This idea also suggests that God preferred the house of Jacob because of their more righteous state, while Esau's house was filled with willing and unrepenting sin. The Hebrew word sane, which is often confused and mistranslated today as hate, is the emotional state of being against something. Since the house of Esau was willingly in bed with the Devil, the God of the Jews would obviously be against them. However even in this, God was still willing to hear prayers of forgiveness and welcome back into favor of heaven.
