How WBC Fails: God H8's 14/19

The Westboro Baptist Church (or WBC) is an Independent Baptist “church” known for its extreme stance against homosexuality, other religions, and anything else that tickles their fancy. They are also known for their greatly offensive protest activities against fallen service men/woman and high profile aka popular people. In this special section created, we will explore their hateful and distorted “divine” teachings and expose them for what they truly are, a hate group who uses religion for personal power.

Part: 14/19
Name: God don't make no junk - Pt 14 of WBC's GOD H8S vid

Update: Videos have been removed. Blog now shows video of all of them combined.
Bible Verse use:
None

Even cats know about the WBC

At the time of this written, it has been a little over five months since I started the rebuking and discrediting of the cult. In these five months I have studied and researched them, I learned more and more about what goes on in their collective heads. I have also read more of the bible than I ever thought I would. From Youtube videos (both from and about them), to published articles and twitter, I have learned much about these people and the patterns they have. One common theme of theirs is using a variety of selective (and often out of context) bible verses to support more hate than any one person should have. Ffrom protesting dead people, to labeling groups as “horrid evil sinners that will destroy the world”, these people have pushed the limits as to what it means to hate. Today’s video, “God don’t make no junk, we are all God’s children” has them again explain to us how God does indeed make junk to burn in hell. He does this with a series of bible verses….

Hey, this is a voice in Hank’s head calling…
Oh hi there! What’s up dood?
I’m here to remind you there weren’t any verses in this video.
Eh?!?!
Yea… go watch it again.
*After watching the video for the fifth time, because I couldn’t believe it either….*

When and during writing these various rebuking and discrediting, I like to have a note pad next to me. This way I can quickly write down any points of interest, bible verses or thoughts without having to stop the video. I also had a very yummie egg, sausage and cheese sandwich with me that Barb made. So far my pad looks like this;

-Willing to pronounce judgment without seeing/experiencing
-What nonsense after title is flashed.
-of course god makes junk.
-god made said junk to be destroyed and burned in hell fire.
-only a small percent are gods children, and only they believe in him.
- 2 billion to one will be saved.

Having spent some more time re-reviewing the video, because I do miss things from time to time I began to realize something; an utter lack of bible verses. Not only did I find it odd that the established pattern was broken fourteen views in, but why would these people make such statements without biblical back up? These are people that delight in using the bible to their own ends, they know the words by heart and can quote anything at a moments thought. Even more so, did they honestly expect no one to notice? When one makes an argument, or states and opinion as fact without evidence to back it up, we simple people have a phrase for that… it’s called “talking out of your ass”. Fortunately for me, I’m armed with their bible and the ability to use Google to quickly search it.

We begin with the title and the WBC’s condescending remarks of how we are not “all children of God”.

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the children of God!” 1John 3:2

 “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:15-17

“The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!” Jeremiah 18:1-6

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Next up, we have the unsupported claim of “God makes junk” saying that many humans are made specifically to suffer in sin then die and suffer in hell. For no other reason other than it pleases their bi-polar god. That only six people *1 will be saved.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians. 2:10

According to the bible, God created humanity in his image, created each person with unique characteristics, and loves us for who we are. God created humanity with free will so we could freely follow the path of light. While humanity can mess up, God’s message can and will cannot. This is what the WBC knew when making this video without any bible statements to back it up. They assume people would be dumb enough to believe everything they are told, they assume the masses could not think for themselves. There are no verses saying God created humanity just to suffer, there is nothing about getting jollys from throwing people into hell (because he made them that way), and certainly nothing about a cult being the one and only true followers and believes in the divine.

The WBC did get one thing right in this video;

Another one did bite the dust, that “one” would be another false video produced by the WBC.

*1 by their own words, one in every two billion people will be saved. With the Earth having a pop of about six billion people that means about three or four people will be saved. Considering their cult has about 80ish members….
